Garundt is a Peruvian born, Miami-based multidisciplinary artist.
He uses spiritual motifs as symbols to point the audience towards states beyond the intellect. His latest work employs the multiplication processes used in printmaking and loops in animation to emulate the repetition of a visual mantra, seeking to focus the mind of the viewer and push it towards the unknown.
Not devoted to any particular medium, he sees techniques and materials solely as different tools to achieve the same end: the manipulation of form to connect to formlessness.
Before becoming a full time artist, Garundt was a creative director for a cable network and a content agency and has directed various short films and music videos. He was also a member of the Miami indie-rock band Modernage, and currently part of power trio Condors and Chaos.
